Gail Knott and Drew Krab join us to talk about the Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Campus expansion, with the ribbon cutting Thursday from 11-1. John and Josh also give away some tickets to the Keith County Fair grandstand show Friday.
Mid-Plains Community College's Ogallala Extended Campus has moved, and expanded. The new location is on the south side of Interstate 80 behind Super 8 and KFC/Taco Bell. The new facility houses 5 classrooms, a shop, and technology on the cutting edge. The expansion will allow for increased education opportunities, workforce development, distance learning, and more.
The ribbon cutting is taking place from 11am - 1pm on Thursday, August 9, 2012. There will be some dignitaries there, some of whom will speak. There will be a buffet lunch. And it will give the public-at-large an opportunity to wander through the facility.
Drew Krab, with Keith County Area Development (KCAD), and Gail Knott, with Mid-Plains Community College Ogallala Extended Campus, were in-studio this morning to discuss the expansion, how it came about, the community involvement and funding, the expanded services, and what it all means for not only Ogallala, but surrounding communities as well.
Also this morning, John and Josh gave away a handful of concert tickets to the Reggie Shaw and Neal McCoy concert at the Keith County Fair. The show is Friday, August 10, 2012, at 8pm.
