"So until Russia can demonstrate their willingness to adhere to existing international trade agreements, I believe their proposed membership to the World Trade Organization should not be supported."

There is a beef in Russia with U-S beef patties and 3rd District Congressman Adrian Smith doesn't much care for it.
"U-S cooked beef patties are barred from entry into Russia despite the fact that under existing trade agreements, U-S companies have the right to ship American beef patties to Russia."
Congressman Smith is now calling on Russia to drop the ban on the import of cooked beef from the U-S.
"This is certainly an illogical trade barrier. It not only limits the export potential of a very safe American product but it also creates an unnecessary burden on American beef and the entire cattle industry."
Smith has sent a letter to President Obama and 19 colleagues urging the Administration to press Russian authorities to work with American counterparts to reach a resolution.
"So until Russia can demonstrate their willingness to adhere to existing international trade agreements, I believe their proposed membership to the World Trade Organization should not be supported."
