A 16-year-old Alliance boy has died and another teen has been hospitalized in a crash near Alliance

ALLIANCE, Neb. (AP) - A 16-year-old Alliance boy has died and another teen has been hospitalized in a crash near Alliance.
 
     Alliance radio station KCOW-AM reports (http://bit.ly/ZQpM7S) that Deion Hitchcock died in the Thursday night crash.
 
     Investigators say Hitchcock was driving a sport utility vehicle southbound on state Highway 87 when he lost control around 8:30 p.m. The SUV went into the east ditch and hit a power pole.
 
     Investigator say Hitchcock was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle and killed. A passenger, 18-year old Crystal Pannell of Alliance, was taken to Box Butte General Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
