OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - A woman suspected of being involved in a shooting with Omaha police has turned herself in.

The Omaha Police Department says Jennifer Lovings turned herself in Sunday afternoon at Douglas County Corrections. She faces multiple charges including assault on an officer and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Police say Lovings fled after the Friday night shooting in an Omaha parking lot. Police were trying to arrest her and Jason Welch on suspicion of being involved in a methamphetamine ring.

Lovings, the driver of a sport utility vehicle, rammed an unmarked police car. An officer fired when he saw Welch reach into the SUV's console.

The SUV sped away, and officers found it parked nearby. Lovings was gone, and police found Welch critically wounded in the SUV.
