As the arrival of spring nears agriculture experts are projecting plantings. USDA Chief Economist Joe Glauber predicts corn planting will be at 96-million acres, down slightly from 2012.

Glauber predicts that 72-and-a-half-million acres will be planted in soybeans, down slightly.

Spring arrives in about a month and USDA Chief Economist Joe Glauber is looking ahead at planting. He projects 72-and-a-half-million acres in soybean planting this year, up slightly.

Glauber projects corn planting will be at 96-million acres, down slightly.
