Senator Johanns says he will continue to push for a new five year farm bill that includes risk management in case of disasters like this drought.


Reports by the University of Nebraska - Lincoln's Drought Mitigation Center are reviewed on a regular basis by Nebraska U-S Senator Mike Johanns.

Senator Johanns says he continues to talk to Nebraska producers whose lives depend on better weather. He says he will continue to push for a new five year farm bill that will benefit producers during difficult times like drought.


Drought conditions continue to plague the lower 48. Nebraska U-S Senator Mike Johanns continues to monitor the situation carefully and the impact this will have on our state's farmers and ranchers.
