Leaders of both parties in Congress agree changes are needed to Social Security and Medicare. The disagreement comes over what changes should be made. Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer, a Republican, says she wants to make sure both programs continue for those who depend on them.

Senator Fischer says changes -are- coming to the programs but she says seniors shouldn't fret. She says no one who's discussing the overhaul would hurt seniors who are currently using the programs.

Fischer says she would favor changing some of the requirements for both entitlement programs, like changing the age at which a person becomes eligible.
