One step closer in the Keystone XL oil pipeline project getting the green light is good news for the Consumer Energy Alliance. Executive Vice President Michael Whatley is very pleased that the project now has Governor Heineman's support.

Whatley says all the material from the DEQ will be included in the review by the feds. He is hoping that process will be done by the 2nd or 3rd quarter construction work can get underway yet this year.


The Consumer Energy Alliance is pleased that Nebraska took the extra time to study the Keystone XL oil pipeline routing to come up with the best solution possible. Executive Vice President Michael Whatley says making sure all the "t's" are cross and "i's" dotted now will prevent further delays.

Whatley says studies done in Nebraska will be included in the federal review. He is hoping Washington will act fast and construction can start yet this year.

 

Just a few more hurdles before the Keystone XL oil pipeline is a reality. That according to Michael Whatley who is the Executive Vice President of the Consumer Energy Alliance.

Whatley is hoping the permit is granted in the 2nd or 3rd quarter and work can start yet this year.
