KIMBALL, Neb. (AP) - A Kimball official has been convicted of assaulting a city water customer during a dispute over who should be responsible for repairing a water leak.
KNEB radio reports that Dave Ford pleaded no contest to assault on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Ford pushed or grabbed a Kimball resident while the two argued over who should fix the water leak. The dispute happened at city hall on Aug. 3.
City Administrator Harold Farrar says Ford was disciplined after the incident but was allowed to keep his job. Farrar would not say how Farrar was disciplined.
Ford is set to be sentenced for the criminal conviction on Jan. 9.
