Nebraska Congressman Predicts Fall Off Fiscal Cliff
Nebraska 2nd District Congressman Lee Terry is disturbed that the American dream seems to be slipping away.
Lee Terry, 2nd District U-S Congressman; "disturbing to me."
Regarding the "fiscal cliff", Congressman Terry doesn't see the "big deal" being done because of partisan bickering on Capitol Hill. He says some of his colleagues are digging in their heals and not budging on spending cuts or tax increases.
Every day we are one step closer to the "fiscal cliff". Nebraska 2nd District Congressman Lee Terry says there is little discussion on Capitol Hill because of partisan bickering.
Terry; "are wrong positions."
Congressman Terry has his own conspiracy theory about what will happen come January 1st. He believes the country will go over the cliff and the Administration will blame the Republicans. Then, the Administration will come back in January and lower taxes on the lower two brackets to become the "heroes" who lower taxes on the middle class.
Congressman Lee Terry doesn't expect a compromise on Capitol Hill regarding an agreement on spending cuts and tax increases before the end of the year.
Terry; "middle class."
Congressman Terry's old saying "things always get done before Christmas break" may not hold true this time around. He believes this is one issue that will haunt American into the New Year.
