GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) - Grand Island authorities say the near drowning of a baby girl in a bathtub was an accident.
The Grand Island Independent reports (http://bit.ly/Uchyo4) that the 9-month-old girl had slipped under the water for a short time around 8 p.m. Monday.
The baby was taken to St. Francis Medical Center, where's she's reported in stable condition.
Grand Island police officer Butch Hurst says investigators and doctors cleared the child's caregivers of any wrongdoing.
