Senator Johanns worries that the lame duck session of Congress might accomplish as much as the regular session, which, he says, is not much.
Johanns, a Republican, says Congress will return after the elections to all the work it postponed prior to the elections.
Senator Mike Johanns: 
The two biggest issues Congress postponed was whether to extend the Bush-era tax cuts, and whether to head off automatic budget cuts totalling 1-Trillion dollars, divided evenly between defense and domestic programs.
