A few steps can make a big difference for voters, according to Nebraska Secretary of State John Gale who says he expects voter turnout just over 70%.
Secretary of State John Gale reminds voters to check the status of your voter registration, and the local of your polling place, which could have shifted due to the Census. If you've changed addresses within the county, you might have to cast a provisional ballot until your registration is confirmed. Act properly at the polls, and no campaigning, which includes t-shirts or such touting candidates.
Most of all vote.
Secretary John Gale:
A check of a voter's guide or a sample ballot before entering the voting booth will help the process go smoothly.
Secretary of State John Gale predicts that just over 70-percent of us will vote this election.
Gale made the prediction after talking with a number of local election officials throughout Nebraska.
Secretary John Gale:
If turnout reaches 71-percent, it would match the record voter turn-out of four years ago.
