Election campaigns for those running for Congress don't usually heat up until now and that is what we are seeing here in Nebraska.

University of Nebraska - Omaha Political Science Professor Dr. Randal Adkins says there are many commenting on the negative campaigning seen coming from both sides.

Dr. Randal Adkins:

Adkins says the goal of negative campaigning is to get people to switch their vote and cross party lines.
