Senator Wants Nebraska Term Limits Expanded

State Senator Tom Carlson of Holdrege sponsored the constitutional amendment extending terms limits from two consecutive four-year terms to three.

Senator Tom Carlson: 

The legislature approved Carlson's measure and sent it to the voters.
Carlson reasons it just doesn't make sense to cut off the service of a state senator just as he is becoming effective.

Senator Tom Carlson: 

Under Nebraska's legislative term limits, a state senator can run again, once the senator sits out a term.
