Drought seems to be affecting everything, even state tax receipts. July saw a rise in receipts in Nebraska.

State revenue rose in July. Nebraska Tax Commissioner Doug Ewald says whether that continues depends on a lot of things, including the November elections.

Doug Ewald:

July receipts came in 5.5% higher than projections.

Ewald says tax receipts from utilities were up considerably in July as Nebraskans ran their air conditioners more, and watered their plants and lawns more.
