Opponents of a dam planned for northern Colorado say the project is facing delays because of environmental concerns.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - The environmental group Save The Poudre says the project is stalled because of the problems it will cause the Cache La Poudre River.

According to the Denver Post (http://bit.ly/QgWyig ), supporters say the project is moving along as planned. They say a recent decision by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to delay issuing its environmental impact statement for at least another year is not a sign the project is in trouble. They say it's a complicated process and there is no deadline.

Northern Water is planning to build the largest reservoir storage and distribution project in decades on behalf of 11 cities and towns and four water districts.
