A new fire west of Craig is forcing people from their homes as firefighters battle three major wildfires in Colorado.

BELLVUE, Colo. (AP) - Moffat County Sheriff Tim Jantz says the new fire is burning on an estimated 2,000 acres near Craig.

Meanwhile, more residents near a 93-square-mile blaze in northern Colorado have been warned to be ready to leave because of a spot fire ignited ahead of the main fire. The High Park fire in northern Colorado is 55 percent contained.

That fire has caused hundreds of people to evacuate and destroyed at least 189 homes since lightning started it June 9.

A third wildfire burning near Lake George has grown to 1,100 acres and is 23 percent contained.
