A fifth man has been arrested in the case of a 14-year-old Nebraska girl whom police say was prostituted by her mother.
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska State Patrol says 25-year-old Brian McCarthy, of Lincoln, was arrested Friday on suspicion of possessing child pornography. The patrol says investigators found images of the 14-year-old girl on McCarthy's cellphone.
The patrol says the girl's 35-year-old mother allowed at least seven men to have sex with her daughter at least 20 times. Investigators also have accused the woman of prostituting her 7-year-old daughter.
The mother is jailed on charges of child pornography and conspiracy to commit sexual assault on a child. The Associated Press is not using her name to protect her daughters.
McCarthy remained jailed in Lancaster County on Monday pending charges.
