Law enforcement agencies across the country are again participating in a ramped-up enforcement through the Memorial Day Weekend to focus on getting people to buckle up.
The Ogallala Police Department has been awarded a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety for the “Click It or Ticket” enforcement wave. This selective enforcement will be conducted from May 21, 2012 thru June 3, 2012 which will incorporate the Memorial Holiday Weekend. Officers will be out in force, cracking down on drivers who fail to buckle up and fail to buckle up children.
As always, the Ogallala Police Department is requesting that you wear your seat belt and buckle up children as required by Nebraska State Law. This campaign will run through the Memorial holiday in response to the high number of vehicles traveling for the holiday weekend.
