Firefighters Extinguish Fire Near Minatare

Firefighters have extinguished a fire involving tires and railroads ties near Minatare in the Nebraska Panhandle.

MINATARE, Neb. (AP) - KNEB radio in Scottsbluff (http://bit.ly/LQEbxd) says the fire, which broke our Wednesday morning, was out by about noon.

Minatare asked the Scottsbluff Rural Fire Department for help, especially extra pumper trucks.

No injuries were reported.
