A North Platte woman has pleaded not guilty to an arson charge - she's accused of setting a fire in her home to get her roommate to leave.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Television station KNOP-TV in North Platte (http://bit.ly/IDaYou) says Royalene Hernandez made her plea Monday in Lincoln County District Court.

Hernandez was arrested April 2 after firefighters were sent to her home to battle a carpet fire. Prosecutors say Hernandez started the fire so another resident would leave.

No injuries were reported.
