Southwest Nebraska Crash Kills Man, Injures Boy

A 56-year-old southwest Nebraska man has died in a crash off Nebraska Highway 23 in Frontier County.

CURTIS, Neb. (AP) - Sheriff Dan Rupp the accident occurred about 2 1/2 miles east of Curtis a little after 8 p.m. Sunday. Rupp says the driver lost control of his pickup and it slid down a ravine.

The driver and his passenger, a 12-year-old boy, were ejected from the truck. Both were taken to Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.

Rupp says the driver died at the hospital. He was identified as Robert Magee. The boy's name and condition have not been released.
