The motorcycle accident north of Sutherland yesterday claimed the life of a 20-year-old Paxton woman, rather than a Paxton teen as we reported earlier.
According to the North Platte Telegraph, 20-year-old Rhiannon Peak of Paxton passed away yesterday on the way to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center, following a motorcycle accident north of Sutherland. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says 52-year-old Vance Peak, Rhiannon’s father, was driving the motorcycle when he lost control around a curve in the road around 5pm. The motorcycle reportedly slid into the ditch, overturned, and ejected both passengers.
Rhiannon was air lifted to the hospital, but was pronounced dead. Vance was taken by ambulance to the Great Plains Regional Medical Center where he is in stable condition.
The accident occurred about 10 miles north of Sutherland.
