The case against a North Platte woman accused of starting a fire in her home so another resident would leave has been sent to Lincoln County District Court.
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - KNOP-TV in North Platte (http://bit.ly/HPdoyP ) says 43-year-old Royalene Hernandez waived her preliminary hearing during an appearance in county court on Thursday. She's charged with first-degree arson.
Hernandez was arrested April 2 after firefighters were sent to her home to battle a carpet fire. Authorities say Hernandez started the fire because the other resident refused to leave.
No injuries were reported.
