(WENN) - Brantley Gilbert looked to his idol Johnny Cash for inspiration before proposing to Jana Kramer. He popped the question on the same street where the legend met his wife June.
The singer marked his 28th birthday last month by asking the "One Tree Hill" beauty to be his wife - and the actress has opened up about the romantic proposal.
She reveals Gilbert chose to propose outside the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee because it had a special meaning to him.
In a radio interview, Kramer says, "He had blindfolded me - and I thought, 'Why are you blindfolding me?' He took me to the Ryman Auditorium. And he was like, 'We always talk about how if it wasn't for country music we never would have met. About 30 steps to our right is where Johnny Cash and June met.' And he's always idolized that love story."
