Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox is most looking forward to being doted on this Father's Day
Country stars Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox, Kip Moore, Lee Brice, Randy Houser and Jason Aldean share stories about their dads and being dads.
Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox is most looking forward to being doted on this Father's Day. "You know, just being with the girls, just being with family and getting loved on. It's our day, you know? They always do little stuff," he says.
Kip Moore has learned many life lessons from his father, but he hope the characteristic he's most picked up is how his dad treats people. Kip says, "I think more than anything, the way he treated people. My dad never had a lot of money, but man, I saw that man give more than anybody I've ever been around, he'd give you the shirt off his back. And he was a hard-nose guy, I mean he could be tough at times, but he treated people with so much respect."
Lee Brice's fiancee Sarah and son Takoda have moved to Nashville and Lee is finding the day-to-day experience of being a father "amazing." He says, "It's the most amazing thing I've ever experienced. You know, Takoda is amazing and I learn something every day from him and from the experience. And you know, there's nothing like it in the whole world. Until you've experienced it yourself, there's really no way to describe it, I don't think."
Randy Houser is celebrating his first Father's Day with son, West. As difficult as life with a newborn can be, Randy says his favorite time is when his wife is in bed and he has his boy to himself. He says, "The thing that I complain about the most is not sleeping, but at 4:00 in the morning whenever my wife is in bed and I have little West to myself and I just get to get all the sugar I want off of them big, old cheeks of his. And he's starting to smile a lot and all that, and I can get him to smile. I don't know, he's just got me ruined. But it's awesome, I'm a softie."
Jason Aldean admits that when it comes to disciplining his daughters, he's the good guy. He says, "My girls are nine and four, so we're pretty tight. I'm the dad that's gone a lot, I think my wife's more the disciplinary. And then when I get home I'm kind of the cool parent because I just kinda take up for them and saves the day. She hates me for that, they love me for it. That's what counts."
